Having presented Analphabet last season, Alberto Cortés returns with his new creation, intended to be performed only 50 times…
After having frequented vampires and ghosts, Alberto Cortés tears himself away from the darkness to turn the pages of a manuscript discovered in the English countryside of the 19th century, signed by a mysterious Ester, who vanished without leaving any trace.
In these incandescent poems, where the voices of Emily Dickinson and the Brontë sisters also resonate, love becomes vaster than life, and the lover becomes a celestial body, as carnal as it is spiritual.
On stage, Alberto Cortés embodies this star who surrenders entirely to the adoration of the audience, and whose brilliance fades from being adored so much.
A revelation of last season with Analphabet, Alberto Cortés continues to populate his queer mythology and astounds with his hypnotic presence, his incendiary poetry, and gestures that probe romanticism and its innermost depths.
