*19h30 & 21h30* Backed by a tight-knit quartet, the new EP *Mother of Pearl* by Franco-Swedish singer Ellen Birath explores a singular territory, at the crossroads of jazz, soul and folk.
Across six original compositions, she shapes a world where aquatic imagery, the memory of the body and raw emotions meet.
Refusing any idealised vision of motherhood, Ellen Birath captures its real movements: tenderness, fatigue, constant vigilance, but also humour and the power of the bond.
*Mother of Pearl* stands out as a lived-in, sensitive and unpretentious work, in which each track becomes a fragment of lived experience. net/fr/events/festival-jazz-sur-seine-2026)\ *
