Embrasse ta mère

Presented by Espace GersonAs they set off on the road to bury a family member, Nina and her mother take advantage of the journey to dig up a few sharp hatchets. One thing is certain: it won't only be the car's tyres that get punctured!

Yolande is that intrusive, borderline overbearing mother you'd never want to have. The one who drains your energy and puts her finger exactly where it shouldn't go. And Yolande exercises this talent with evident relish on her rather clumsy daughter, Nina.

Mother and daughter must travel together over a few kilometres dotted with stops, verbal jousts and other fierce exchanges, which in the end conceal a deep love neither of them manages to express.

From declarations to revelations, will Yolande and Nina manage to settle their differences before it is too late? A play by Karine Dubernet. With Sophie Belvisi and Valérie Lepape-Helly. Directed by Delphine Delepaut.
