High-flying international quartet formed by saxophonist Émile Parisien, FLOATING celebrates its album release, an invitation to journey and reverie at the heart of uncharted landscapes.

It's fair to say that soprano saxophonist Émile Parisien has earned his stripes of national pride over twenty years of a career marked by landmark collaborations.

Listing them would amount to drawing a map of a jazz both welcoming and demanding, open to world adventures and sounds.

The multi-awarded musician continues this work with FLOATING, a new project patiently cultivated during two years of residency at the Théâtre de la Cité Internationale.

Émile Parisien is surrounded by three exceptional musicians: based in Paris, Israeli pianist Yaron Herman navigates between jazz, rock, electro and classical; born in Malaysia and based in New York, double-bassist Linda May Han Oh plays in Pat Metheny's quartet but also leads her own ship; an emblematic figure of Indian percussion in France, Prabhu Edouard has collaborated with musicians as different as Jordi Savall or Jeff Mills.

His tablas give FLOATING's compositions an incomparable flavour and hypnotic sweetness. Spiritual and enchanting, the quartet's music is to be discovered on stage, before the much-anticipated release of an album in September.
