Overview

For the Nuits de la lecture, the young pupils of the Conservatoire Nadia et Lili Boulanger invite children and adults alike on a sensitive journey into the heart of the imagination. Between stories, poetry and music, words and sounds answer one another to conjure inner landscapes and awaken childhood memories.

Beyond its musical and technical possibilities, the clarinet has a rich history, closely bound up with the evolution of musical repertoires and styles.

For the Nuits de la lecture, the children of the Conservatoire Nadia et Lili Boulanger invite us to find our way back to childhood: to the stories we listen to, the words that fill us with wonder and the music that gives birth to whole worlds.

Between poetry and music, the young pupils make their way through texts and sounds as one passes through a dream. Words become landscapes, melodies open doors onto the imagination, and each story brings forth an emotion, a memory or an image.

Over the course of this encounter, the harp accompanies the voices and the tales, creating a delicate setting of sound. The children explore poetry as a space for play, discovery and freedom, where imagination can run free.

A few flashes of childhood, a few sparks of memory and fantasy slip into the texts and the music. It is a moment shared between young and old, to listen differently, dream together and, for the length of an evening, find the child we once were.
