Gauvain Sers

Gauvain Sers presents his songs, with their engaged and melodic lyrics, during his stage appearance.

Gauvain Sers is a French singer-songwriter associated with the French chanson tradition. Originally from Limoges, the artist began his musical journey in 2016 and released his first studio album, titled Pourvu, in 2017 on the Fontana Records label. His compositions follow in the footsteps of the great names of poetic protest and social observation, with lyrics rooted in the reality of peripheral areas and of workers.

On stage, Gauvain Sers most often performs in an acoustic line-up or in a small ensemble, favouring direct contact with the audience and a focus on the guitars. The concert highlights the key tracks from his successive albums, built around simple melodies and rousing choruses. This evening is aimed at lovers of carefully crafted lyrics and classic French chanson, who come to hear an artist whose approach belongs to the tradition of the chansonniers.

The Salle Philippe Noiret - Espace des Arts hosts this performance as part of its cultural programme. Audiences discover a set centred on songwriting and interpretation, without superfluous stage artifice, allowing them to appreciate the structure of the pieces in listening conditions suited to the music.
