Gospel Church

Presented by Mairie de Compans Founded in 1992, the Gospel Church choir brings together 5 to 30 dedicated choristers, united by their love of Negro Spirituals and authentic Gospel from the African American churches of Harlem.

Through its concerts and festivals, Gospel Church invites audiences on a genuine musical and spiritual immersion, carried by powerful voices, infectious energy and deeply captivating rhythms.

The group's philosophy rests on essential values: Brotherhood, Peace, Sharing and Love for one's neighbour, strong, universal messages, more necessary than ever in these difficult times.

Each performance is an intense moment of communion, where the authenticity of the singing, the beauty of the harmonies and the dynamism on stage stir emotion and fervour in the audience, won over at every show.

Gospel Church performs in France and abroad, and regularly appears on major television programmes.

The choir has notably accompanied great artists on France 2, including Anggun, Chimène Badi, Amel Bent, Jane Manson, Nicole Croisille, Grégoire, Gérard Lenorman and Nicoletta, as well as at the Fête de la Chanson Française alongside Eddy Mitchell and Thomas Dutronc.

It has also appeared on Canal+ / C8 in Touche pas à mon poste, on TF1 in a gospel scene of the series Profilage (season 10), and took part in Claude Lelouch's film Finalement, with music by Ibrahim Maalouf.

On the grandest stages, Gospel Church has performed at the Olympia with Eddy Mitchell, Clara Luciani and Adrien Gallo.

Our singers have taken part in numerous renowned musicals: The Lion King (Théâtre Mogador and Disneyland Paris), Freedom – Opéra Rock (Cirque d'Hiver), La Petite Boutique des Horreurs, Black Legends, and Ghost – Le Musical at the Théâtre Mogador.

The choristers have also taken part in prestigious tours alongside Nicoletta, Slimane, André Rieu, Hans Zimmer, M. Pokora, Bob Sinclar
