Programmation En veux-tu? En v’là! org/ Hassan K. be/AbyrVHIm8ok Far removed from the folklore governed by the binary kicks of contemporary electro-oriental music, Hassan K. skillfully transgresses Persian music with its shifting borders.

A tinkerer, fervent defender of free and open-source culture, and all-terrain DIY artist, the one-man band endlessly blends Persian rituals with new technologies, West and East, surf music and bellydance, swing and cyber-metal, film scores and harsh noise.

The multi-instrumentalist musician is a traditionalist who does not play with folklore, but instead seeks out the essence of a millennial culture to give it a second wind without ever damaging it.

crafts his tools, repurposes or augments traditional oriental instruments (electric setar, sensors, robotic santoor) to avoid lingering in the virtual realm and to sweep the audience into a high-energy, trance-inducing live performance.
