Il ne Pleut plus en Bretagne - Sylvain Gary & François Martin

Words that make you smile, melodies that take you travelling!

Sylvain Gary is back on stage with Il ne pleut plus en Bretagne, a song show that is funny, poetic and deliciously offbeat. At the piano, his accomplice and composer François Martin excels and accompanies Sylvain in a world where humour, poetry and witty wordplay come together. 18 original songs, 18 little stories that carry us off on a singular journey, sometimes funny, sometimes tender, always surprising. A fine partnership on stage, texts full of wit and melodies that stay in your head: a show to discover without moderation!

Sylvain Gary in the media

"Each song tells a story and creates an otherworldly universe, burlesque, fantastical or realistic. Sylvain Gary dips his pen in a singular ink. Over jazz, blues or pop-rock rhythms, he juggles carefully chosen words and mischievous thoughts." LE FIGARO

"Sylvain GARY is not afraid of words, real little draughts of air that inspire his songs, tender and cavalier, nostalgic and piquant... They brighten the atmosphere like our flowers on the balcony greeting passers-by. So do not pass them by, lovers of gentle, playful songs!" LE MONDE

"Sylvain Gary has a Trenet/Gavroche stance, a touch offbeat and endearing; he nonchalantly carries his own texts, always humorous and tongue-in-cheek. At times a crooner, at others a sad clown or a master of ceremonies, depending... he brings to mind Pierre Perret and Bobby Lappointe. As for the mischievous François Martin, beneath his air of innocence, he is very much present at the keyboards with some very fine melodies of his own composition." RegArts.org
