Overview
Having concluded her latest engagements at the Kiosk in Marquette-lez-Lille on 23 March 2023, Isabelle Aubret returns to the stage with a new one-woman show: On n’empêche pas un oiseau de chanter. This final show, written and directed by the artist herself, sees her recount the high points of her artistic career as well as her family and personal life, performing a selection of songs from her repertoire throughout the evening. A special, emotionally rich moment in which the performer reminds us just how beautiful life is.
« How can one possibly sum up an 87-year life in a few lines? Impossible. Be curious, be confident. I have so much to tell you, to make you smile, laugh, perhaps cry a little – but with the boundless strength of finding you again to share a few small treasures “sung-spoken”. It is wonderful to be alive and to want to bring happiness again and again! »Isabelle Aubret
