Jhariah

Blending dance-punk, emo, progressive rock and hardcore energy, Jhariah arrives in Paris for an explosive concert on 12 October at the Pop-Up du Label.

Since 2017, Jhariah Clare, a 25-year-old Brooklyn-based musician and multidisciplinary artist who records and releases music under the name Jhariah, has been building a fascinating musical world, intensely original and bold.

To some, his work can seem confusing, even transgressive, in the way it refuses the strict confines of musical genres.

To others, it embodies instead a new musical era: free music, in the image of its creators, that doesn't bend to the restrictive social and cultural rules of our time.

His second album, "TRUST CEREMONY", is a sprawling, borderless record that fuses dance-punk, emo, progressive rock and hardcore with pop, hip-hop, Latin dance and more influences besides.

This bold, brilliant blend accompanies a Gen Z odyssey marked by doubt, family conflict and a Catholic upbringing, but also by a fierce determination to succeed and share his art with the world.

"TRUST CEREMONY" stands as a kind of manifesto for this new musical culture, and as Jhariah's most ambitious, important and daring work to date.
