Between dance-punk, emo, progressive rock and hardcore energy, Jhariah lands in Paris for an explosive concert on 12 October at the Pop-Up du Label.
Since 2017, Jhariah Clare, musician and multidisciplinary artist aged 25 based in Brooklyn, who records and releases his music under the name Jhariah, builds a fascinating, intensely original and audacious musical universe.
For some, his work may seem bewildering, even transgressive, as it refuses the strict frameworks of musical genres. For others, it embodies a new musical era: free music, like its creators, which does not bend to the restrictive social and cultural rules of our time.
His second album, "TRUST CEREMONY", is an expansive and boundless record, which fuses dance-punk, emo, progressive rock and hardcore with pop, hip-hop, Latin dance and many other influences.
This bold and brilliant mix accompanies a Gen Z odyssey traversed by doubt, family conflicts, Catholic education, but also fierce determination to succeed and share his art with the world.
"TRUST CEREMONY" stands as a form of manifesto for this new musical culture, and as Jhariah's most ambitious, important and audacious work to date.
