L'Instruituteur

Jean-Claude Duquesnoit presents L'Instruituteur at the Théâtre Ronny Coutteure - La Ferme des Hirondelles in Fretin, a comedic one-man show inspired by the world of teaching.

This show belongs to the world of comedy and the one-man show, offering a both caustic and tender look at the figure of the schoolteacher of yesteryear. On stage, the performer embodies a pedagogue with rigorous methods and an assertive authority, drawing the audience into a series of sketches and classroom memories. The toneswings between nostalgia and satire, painting a portrait of an era when chalk and the blackboard punctuated the daily life of generations of pupils.

Audiences are invited to take their seats in the auditorium of the Théâtre Ronny Coutteure - La Ferme des Hirondelles for this performance, which speaks to all generations. Those who knew the school of the Republic will recognise familiar references, while younger spectators will discover the customs and habits of an education system that has long since passed. The staging places emphasis on the rapport with the audience and the strength of the actor's interpretation, alone on stage as he brings to life a gallery of colourful characters.
