An exploration of language through poetry and music
As part of the LES AUTOMNALES Festival, meet Mathilde Lechat from the Charabia company. Musician and singer Mathilde Lechat explores language, from the phoneme to the birth of the word, from imaginary languages to world languages, to invent a “universal” music, a borderless sound poetry. She works on anchoring sound in the body, the fluidity and dynamics of vocal gesture for an approach to movement connected to the vibration of the voice. For this meeting, Mathilde Lechat will perform several vocal pieces from her repertoire. This musical material will be the anchor point for a discussion about her creative work for the voice, with the desire to share the joy and curiosity that drive her artistic approach.
