Locura

Dance show Locura (madness in Spanish) was born from the collaboration between Mourad Merzouki (choreographer of the Olympic Games opening show) and Franck-Emmanuel Comte, around Folia, a ballet that has enjoyed immense international success.

This baroque hip-hop show has delighted more than 200,000 spectators on European stages. Imagining a lighter form dressed only in the lighting of Yoann Tivoli, Locura draws on the major strengths of Folia: a distinctive visual and sonic poetry, a palette of strong emotions, and a fine complicity between the dancers of Cie Käfig and the musicians of Le Concert de l’Hostel Dieu. Masterly! “This show sends hip-hop galloping to Italian and South American baroque music of the 17th and 18th centuries, and it zips along.” TELERAMA Duration: 1h15 Production: Le Concert de l’Hostel Dieu Heather Newhouse, soprano Franck-Emmanuel Comte, harpsichord & direction Musicians: Reynier Guerrero Alvarez (violin), Florian Verhaegen (violin), Nicolas Janot (double bass), Aude Walker-Viry (cello), Nicolas Muzy (theorbo and guitar), David Bruley (percussion) Dancers: Mélanie Lomoff, Joël Luzolo, Mathilde Rispal, Aurélien Vaudey, Sofian Kaddaoui Choreography: Mourad Merzouki assisted by Marjorie Hannoteaux Lighting: Yoann Tivoli Telephone for reduced-mobility and disabled access (PMR/PSH): 01 64 70 71 39
