Hailing from Louisiana, Marc Broussard, a singer-songwriter renowned for his powerful voice, cultivates a universe blending soul, blues, R&B, rock, and funk, deeply inspired by the musical traditions of the American South.
Son of guitarist Ted Broussard, a member of the Louisiana Hall of Fame, he grew up at the heart of Lafayette's music scene and developed a style he defines as "Bayou Soul," a mix of soul and blues with a Louisiana flavour.
Discovered in the early 2000s with his track "Home," he quickly gained international recognition and has since built a career marked by several critically acclaimed albums. S. album series, with profits donated to various associations.
His new album, Chance Worth Taking, marks a new stage in his career with a repertoire entirely composed of original blues and soul tracks.
Produced by blues figures Joe Bonamassa and Josh Smith, alongside Calvin Turner, the album blends soul-blues, blues-rock, and funk with Louisiana influences, carried by Broussard's warm yet powerful voice.
