Nadau

Over there, on the far side of our mountain, out in the West, is a Gascon-Béarnais purveyor of emotions who, for 50 years now, tirelessly comes and goes, speaking to us in Occitan about our lives, our history, the homeland of those who loved us, and that popular culture which cares little for looks from on high.

A bridge between generations and regions, Nadau sails along like a relaxed old father, never doing anything but telling simple stories about everyday things, often with mischief, always with gentleness and a great deal of love.

Nadau is an enchanted adventure, made of passion, poetry and songs that are shared in a hall or in a stadium – the supporters of the Section Paloise and the Stade Montois would not say otherwise, they who have borrowed from his songs for their anthems!

• melodies that stir the soul as much as the body.

Whether he sings, tells tales or entertains, Joan de Nadau, at the helm of this merry family, takes us on a timeless ride, where the silences count as much as the words, and where the language becomes universal when it brings us such lovely emotions.
