Résurrection tells the story of a young man from a good family who leads a life of pleasure in a big city and finds himself sitting on the jury at the trial of a woman accused of murder. He recognises his first love, once a servant in his family's household.

He abused her and made her pregnant before abandoning her. She has become a prostitute. Eager to atone for his wrongdoing, he tries to clear her name, but she refuses his help so that he must face the consequences of his actions.

A theatre of conscience, between the quest for redemption and the possibility of forgiveness. Less emblematic than other works by Leo Tolstoy, Résurrection takes on, under the pen of Leïla Slimani, a striking resonance with our own era.

Alongside the director Simon Delétang, the author takes up this narrative to offer a committed, contemporary adaptation.

Through the figure of Nekhlyudov, an idealist torn between enjoying his privileges and his desire for justice, the show questions the violence of class relations. Booking for wheelchair users: 04 93 13 19 00
