A Roda? De Paname? The principle of a samba roda is that musicians play Afro-Brazilian samba songs in a circle, surrounded by the audience who sing and clap along.
The unique feature of Roda De Paname is its approach to the French song repertoire, blending great classics like “Le Sud” and “Siffler sur la colline” with the rhythms, pieces, and instruments of a samba roda: percussion, 7-string guitar, and cavaquinho!
Also featured are revisited Brazilian music classics. The project's originality lies in its generosity and sharing, as French and Brazilians gather in a circle around the musicians to sing their respective repertoires. The concert is half standing/half seated.
