Seth Gueko

Seth Gueko, real name Nicolas Salvadori, born 27 October 1980 in Pontoise, is a French rapper. Or rather a "Barlou": a hooligan in all his glory… a true state of mind that cultivates difference, being on the edge, resourcefulness… and tattoos too!

Over time, it became a true community, bringing together all those who refuse to blindly follow the game's rules without thinking… and who support the "chief" Barlou, the general, Mister Seth Gueko.

With over 13 projects to his name and hundreds of collaborations, Seth Gueko has nothing left to prove. An essential figure of French independent rap, he established himself with landmark albums like Michto or Bad Cowboy.

He blends second-degree humor and provocation to create a unique style, both quirky and authentic. He doesn't need easy provocations or artificial buzz to exist: his identity is enough.

A true Rube Goldberg of languages and expressions, Seth Gueko, like Alex the Droog, tragic hero of Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange, skillfully blends criminal slang, louchebem (butchers' language), slang and the Romani of travelers.

With a Parisian street urchin and scathing side in the Michel Audiard style, his universe is full of pop culture references. Starting with his stage name, inspired by the character Seth Gecko in Robert Rodriguez's From Dusk Till Dawn.

Over the years, Gueko reinvented himself and crafted a unique character, drawing from the universes of Emir Kusturica, Jack Nicholson, vampire and zombie films, and his friend JoeyStarr.

Not forgetting the influence of Von Dutch Custom Kulture, with Harley and hot rods with overpowered engines. Add to that tattoo mythology, a touch of slightly macho X, plenty of barlous and a good dose of destruction… That's Seth Gueko.
