When used the right way, anger brings people together. Spite attracts misfits and the excluded through music blending brutal revenge, thrash influences and deathcore intensity.

The California band — Darius Tehrani (vocals), Lucas Garrigues and Alex Tehrani (guitars), Ben Bamford (bass) and Cody Fuentes (drums) — has thus created a real community called the "Spite Cult".

For singer Darius, this "cult" represents the union of society's rejects: people who own their anger and refuse to conform. The band claims total freedom in its lyrics, with no filter or limits.

After their albums Spite (2016) and Nothing is Beautiful (2017), which brought them millions of streams and a strong reputation on stage, the band returns with Root of All Evil.

Unlike the previous album, focused on depression and self-hatred, this new record transforms this rage into anger directed at the outside world and a society deemed decadent.

Tracks like "Reign In Hell" and "Root of All Evil" embody this sonic and emotional violence, blending blast beats, breakdowns and dark themes around hatred, chaos and acceptance of one's dark side.
