Overview
Presented by Very Show More than fifty years after its beginnings, Steel Pulse remains one of the great references in global roots reggae.
Formed in 1975 in Birmingham, the British band continues to make music resound that is as unifying as it is deeply committed, driven by David "Dread" Hinds and Selwyn Brown.
Winner of a Grammy Award for Babylon the Bandit, Steel Pulse has marked several generations with essential classics like Rally Round the Flag, Roller Skates and Stepping Out.
Heir to the Rock Against Racism movement, the band continues its fight for social justice, equality and fraternity, with intact conviction: music can bring people together and shift boundaries.
Between irresistible roots grooves, stage energy and universal messages, Steel Pulse proves that its militant reggae has lost none of its strength. A living legend, still standing, still in struggle and always ready to make both consciences and bodies vibrate.
