Symbolic fiction driven by folkloric imaginaries and danced languages mixing Andean dances and hip-hop, SUPAY is a choreographic creation for three performers inspired by Andean tales and the human realities that run through them.
At the heart of the piece, the figure of SUPAY, an ambivalent deity and protector of the mines, watches, observes, and intervenes. It accompanies the destiny of a female mine worker, whose path crosses that of a soldier.
Between them, a fragile relationship is born, marked by tensions, desires, and unspoken words. Gradually, the presence of SUPAY insinuates itself, influencing, disturbing, and revealing what is at play in the unseen.
