Their recipe is a deft blend of influences from the second wave of punk, from American hardcore to Negative Approach, from cold English post-punk to Blitz, and from French punk rock to Camera Silens, to name just a few.

Syndrome 81 has taken its time refining this cocktail. The melodies are more and more present, the arrangements ever more crafted, the atmosphere even colder, without losing any of the energy of the catchy anthems that define them. With Prisons Imaginaires, the songs gain even more punch, and one can already picture the upcoming concerts where the audience will sing the carefully crafted choruses in unison.

Like the music, the lyrics are harsh and cold. They are stories of life in Brest, the Wild West, far from the capital, far from everything. Syndrome 81 captures like no other the melancholy of everyday life and the boredom of living in Brest, in songs steeped in grey.
