For more than 20 years, Tagada Jones has toured national and international stages with its Punk-Hardcore sound. The band has travelled through 25 countries, released 9 studio albums and played more than 1,800 gigs!

Arguably one of the only French punk combos to have exported its music so widely while singing in its native language. Tagada also stands for social awareness, political commitment and, above all, a benchmark for independence.

Worthy heirs of the French alternative scene, they are recognised by their predecessors (Bérurier Noir, Parabellum, Shériff...) as the embodiment of French "Do it yourself".

While the combo started out just over twenty years ago as a 100% punk-rock quartet, its music went through some changes, notably a more electro-punk orientation for a few years with the arrival of a fifth member on samples.

Today the band has returned to its first loves and continues to write punk music faithful to its roots, even though the electro-industrial aspect has not entirely disappeared.

The group covers more than ever a musical spectrum ranging from English punk, from its origins to its Californian version of the 1990s, through the French alternative scene of the 1980s, or even metal and hardcore.

These influences have been perfectly digested to produce music that sounds like nothing but Tagada Jones!

While the music has evolved, it remains instantly recognisable, notably thanks to Niko's voice, his furious singing and his militant lyrics.

The lyrics have also evolved to some extent, but they remain very largely focused on societal issues such as capitalism, globalisation, oppression, war, racism, ecology, politics, religion, domestic violence or freedom in the broad sense of the word...
