About — The artist

The Commodores are an American funk and soul band from Tuskegee, Alabama. They are one of the most representative American groups of the genre in the 1970s and 1980s. Until his departure in 1983, Lionel Richie was the lead singer of the band. The group is best known for its ballads such as Easy and Three Times a Lady, even though the majority of their tracks are closer to funk and disco, like Brick House, Say Yeah, Fancy Dancer, and Too Hot Ta Trot.
