Tribute to Miles Davis

Kind of Opera" – Tribute to Miles Davis. When classical and jazz meet to celebrate his 100th birthday.

On an air of opera and in an unprecedented format around singing, piano and bass, the Great Opera Voices of Africa and their friends revisit the jazz universe of Miles Davis and some of the great classical musicians who inspired him.

The jazz standards of this trumpeter and composer are now known far beyond the musical milieu in which they were born. This concert is an opportunity to re-examine and appropriate his musical aesthetic, considering it also belongs to the repertoire of contemporary classical music.
