Un Toit Pour 4

A play by Nicolas Vitiello. Starring Sandrine Arcizet, Elodie Ageron, Nicolas Vitiello and Romain Fleury. Les Grands Théâtres / Jérôme Foucher. Directed by Anne Bourgeois. Family-friendly comedy, running time 1h20.

Camille, a single, dreamy and affectionately intrusive woman, decides to give her best friend Léa a weekend in the countryside. Léa, on the verge of burn-out, cannot switch off from work and sees her relationship wobbling. What could be better than a girls-only retreat in an isolated house, with no phone signal, and on the programme: mulled wine, yoga, romantic series… and even an improvised therapy session for Camille's depressed cat, ready to scratch any stranger who comes near.

But no sooner have they arrived than a surprise: Maxime and Julien, two men in their forties who have just turned up, have also booked the house… on a different website! Their own programme: no girls, sport in the forest and beer-and-football evenings. Maxime gave Julien this weekend to lift his spirits after a painful break-up. After a moment of tension, the four decide to share the house, for lack of an alternative: the nearest hotel is two hours away and without phone signal, so booking is impossible. But there is a catch… the house has only one bedroom.

What was meant to be a calm retreat turns into an explosive shared stay, full of misunderstandings, seduction games, revelations about relationships between men and women… and plenty of laughter. Because behind appearances, not everyone is telling the truth about their intentions. And some have not come to relax at all…
