AS PART OF THE 30TH EDITION OF THE VILLES DES MUSIQUES DU MONDE FESTIVAL WaïV Born and raised in the vibrant streets of Bobigny, WaïV developed a natural instinct for melody at an early age, thanks in particular to his Cameroonian roots. His sound, which he describes as variété mélodie, is a true kaleidoscope where urban influences, pop melodies and African rhythms come together. The Chemin Vert neighbourhood, with its urban rhythms and boundless energy, was his first audience and his main source of inspiration. From these early collective experiences was born an unquenchable passion for music, pushing him to assert his unique talent. Today, WaïV continues his rise, driven by an insatiable thirst to create and to share his voice with the world. Always in search of authenticity, he has managed to impose his own sonic universe, marked by his use of gue, a Bobigny slang that has become his signature.
