About — The artist
Angerfist, real name Danny Masseling, born on 20 June 1981 in Almere (Flevoland, Netherlands), is a Dutch mainstream hardcore producer and disc jockey. Early in his career, he released his first EP, entitled Criminally Insane E.P., in 2002, under the name Angerfist, on the Overload Records label. In 2006, Minne Roos (known by the pseudonym MC Prozac) joined him exclusively during his appearances at events where his contributions were highly noted. That same year, he released his first studio album, Pissin' Razorbladez.
Two of his studio albums, Mutilate (2008) and Retaliate (2011), second and third respectively, reached the Dutch music charts. During his mixsets, he is accompanied by Minne Roos, and was formerly accompanied by Crucifier (Crypsis). Angerfist is notably renowned for his stage presence and his show, conveyed by his emblematic image – wearing a hockey mask and a pullover (black for Masseling and white for Roos).
In the 2010s, Masseling became qualified by the specialised press and numerous international media as the most influential producer at the forefront of the international hardcore techno and gabber scenes. In 2014, he released his fourth studio album, The Deadfaced Dimension, which was followed by a fifth, in 2015, entitled Raise and Revolt. In November 2017, he released his sixth studio album, entitled Creed of Chaos.
