Anthony Kavanagh

Anthony Kavanagh is a Quebecois comedian, actor, singer, and television host of Haitian origin, born on 26 September 1969 in Greenfield Park, Quebec.

He rose to prominence in Quebec in the 1990s as a comedian and host, before successfully expanding into France at the end of the decade. In addition to his numerous solo shows at prestigious venues such as L'Olympia, Le Grand Rex, and Bobino, he hosted the NRJ Music Awards ceremony on TF1 for six consecutive years, from 2001 to 2006.

A versatile artist, Anthony Kavanagh also pursues an acting career in television (Fais pas ci, fais pas ça, Le cœur a ses raisons), cinema, and musicals (Chicago). He particularly excels in voice acting, lending his voice in French to Marty the zebra in the Madagascar franchise, Ray the firefly in The Princess and the Frog, the demigod Maui in the animated films Vaiana : La Légende du bout du monde, and the Genie in the live-action film Aladdin, also recording several songs in the French version for these films.

After pursuing his career and living for nearly twenty years in Europe, he returned to settle in Quebec with his family in 2017, where he continues to perform on stage and participate in various television shows.
