Bad Bunny

Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Martínez Ocasio, was born on March 10, 1994 in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, and is a Puerto Rican rapper, singer, producer, actor and wrestler.

His musical style is primarily defined as Latin trap and reggaeton. He rose to fame in 2016 with his song Diles and continued gaining popularity with songs such as Soy peor (es) and by collaborating with Farruko, Karol G, Ozuna, J Balvin and Drake.

In 2020, he became the most-streamed non-English speaking artist of the year on the music streaming platform Spotify, and repeated this achievement in 2021, 2022 and 2025. In 2023, he became the first Spanish-language singer to have one of his albums (Un verano sin ti) nominated for a Grammy Award in the "Album of the Year" category. In 2026, he became the first artist to win this award for an album entirely in Spanish with Debí tirar más fotos.

Dubbed "El Rey del Pop" (King of Pop) by American magazine Forbes in 2023, he is considered the greatest reggaeton singer in history alongside Daddy Yankee and J Balvin; he holds with Un verano sin ti the record for the most-streamed album in Spotify history since July 2023: the album has accumulated 22.7 billion streams in April 2026. As of that date, Bad Bunny is the 2nd most-streamed artist on the ranking established for Spotify's 20th anniversary.
