Bad Bunny

Bad Bunny, real name Benito Martínez Ocasio, born 10 March 1994 in Bayamón (Puerto Rico), is a Puerto Rican rapper, singer, producer, actor and wrestler.

His musical style is mainly defined as Latin trap and reggaeton. He rose to fame in 2016 with his song Diles and continued to gain popularity with songs such as Soy peor, and by collaborating with Farruko, Karol G, Ozuna, J Balvin and Drake.

In 2020, he was the most-streamed non-English-language artist of the year on Spotify, a feat he repeated in 2021, 2022 and 2025. In 2023, he became the first Spanish-language singer to have one of his albums (Un verano sin ti) nominated for the Grammy Award for Album of the Year. In 2026, he became the first artist to win that award for an entirely Spanish-language album, with Debí tirar más fotos.

Dubbed "El Rey del Pop" (the King of Pop) by the American magazine Forbes in 2023, he is considered, alongside Daddy Yankee and J Balvin, one of the greatest reggaeton singers of all time; with Un verano sin ti, he holds the record for the most-streamed album in Spotify's history since July 2023, with the album racking up 22.7 billion streams as of April 2026. As of that date, Bad Bunny is the second most-streamed artist in the ranking drawn up for the platform's 20th anniversary.
