Bilal Hassani

Bilal Hassani is a French singer-songwriter and influencer, born September 9, 1999 in Orsay.

He became known through videos posted on his YouTube channel and by participating in the television show The Voice Kids in 2015, where he performs Rise Like a Phoenix by Conchita Wurst. His singing career took a decisive turn when he was chosen to represent France at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with his song Roi. This song, celebrating self-acceptance, is co-written with the duo Madame Monsieur and quickly became an anthem for LGBTQ+ youth.

That same year, Hassani released his first album, Kingdom, which achieved notable success. He followed with a second album, Contre-soirée, released in November 2020, where he continues to explore urban pop sounds while addressing more personal themes. In October 2022, he returned with a third album titled Théorème, which marks an evolution toward more experimental and pop productions.

On December 15, 2023, Hassani released a compilation of his greatest hits, Héritage, which concluded a first phase of his career.

In 2024, Bilal Hassani made his film debut in the feature film Les Reines du drame directed by Alexis Langlois. This exuberant film features queer characters and boldly explores themes of identity and marginalization. Bilal's role in this film is praised for its energy and authenticity.
