About — The artist
Blind Date is a German pop group of six musicians, formed in 1984 in Frankfurt am Main (Germany). The group was made up of Christian Felke (saxophone), Peter Cook (percussion), Lothar Krell (keyboards), Uwe Schlürmann (guitar), and Amy and Elaine (vocals).
The group's name comes from the fact that its members met by chance. The first single, Your Heart Keeps Burning, was released in 1985 in Germany and reached 17th place in the charts. Another followed: Hit the Road Jack, which was a flop. After that, the group disbanded. In 1992, the group seemed set to reunite and released a remix that met with mixed success.
Amy and Elaine Goff were backing singers for Meat Loaf, Christian Felke was a session saxophonist and, since 1998, a member of the rock-jazz band Scales. Uwe Schlürmann has been the singer of the country music group Tumbleweed since 1996.
