About — The artist
Burning Spear is the conscience of roots reggae: Winston Rodney, native of Saint Ann's Bay like Bob Marley and Marcus Garvey, has preached since the 70s a spiritual and hypnotic reggae — "Marcus Garvey," "Slavery Days" — crowned with several Grammy Awards. Voice of bronze, Rastafari trance and deep horns: he is one of the last giants of the founding era still active. His Paris concerts, rare and precious, are root ceremonies of unique intensity.
