About — The artist

Clarence Bekker (born Clarence Becker Milton, on 11 April 1968, in Suriname) first made his name under the name CB Milton. The Dutch singer began in the 1990s with the singles It's a Loving Thing, Send Me an Angel and Open Your Heart. He also recorded three albums.

In the 2000s, he chose to work under the name Clarence Bekker and attracted attention by singing in the streets of Barcelona. A meeting with the producers of Playing for Change led to numerous concerts and recordings available on YouTube, notably a cover of Stand by Me by Ben E. King.

Among his other collaborations, one can mention 08001 and Taito Tikaro.

Since then, he is best known as the singer of the Clarence Bekker Band, based in Barcelona. They have released two albums, Changes in 2020 and Live at Jamboree in 2024, as well as the single Natural in 2026.
