About — The artist
Climax was an American band formed in 1970 in Los Angeles, California, best known for its 1971–1972 hit “Precious and Few,” which reached number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 1 on Cashbox magazine's Top 100. The record sold more than a million copies and was certified gold by the RIAA on 21 February 1972. The band was also the first to record and release the song “Rock and Roll Heaven” in 1973, before it was popularized a year later by The Righteous Brothers (with reworked lyrics) as their comeback single.
