Dance Gavin Dance

Dance Gavin Dance is an American post-hardcore band from Sacramento, California, signed to Rise Records since 2006. The band has frequently changed members, but is today composed of Jon Mess (screaming vocals), Will Swan (lead guitar), Andrew Wells (rhythm guitar and vocals) and Matthew Mingus (drums, percussion). Jonny Craig, Kurt Travis and Tilian Pearson were clean vocalists in the band. Matthew Mingus and Andrew Wells are the only members to have contributed to all studio albums by the band. The band released an EP, Whatever I Say Is Royal Ocean in 2006 and ten albums, Downtown Battle Mountain in 2007, Dance Gavin Dance in 2008, Happiness in 2009, Downtown Battle Mountain II in 2011, Acceptance Speech in 2013, Instant Gratification in 2015, Mothership in 2016, Artificial Selection in 2018, Afterburner in 2020, Jackpot Juicer in 2022.
