Deafheaven

Deafheaven is an American post-metal band from San Francisco, California. The group formed as a duo with George Clarke and Kerry McCoy, who recorded a demo together. They subsequently recruited three new members and began touring. By late 2010, the group signed to Deathwish Inc. and later released their debut album Roads to Judah in April 2011. Another album, Sunbather, followed in 2013 and was critically acclaimed. In 2015, the group released their third album, New Bermuda.

Deafheaven's musical style is described as black metal blended with shoegaze elements, sometimes called post-black metal or blackgaze. However, they do not classify themselves in the black metal category.
