About — The artist
Earth is an American drone doom and experimental rock band from Olympia, Washington. It was formed in 1989 by Dylan Carlson, Slim Moon and Greg Babior. While having played a variety of musical styles, they are best known as pioneers of drone doom. Their early albums can be perceived as an experimental variation of the Melvins' metal, influenced by doom metal.
