About — The artist
James Edward Brown, better known by his stage name Jim Ed Brown, born on April 1, 1934, in Sparkman, Arkansas, and who died on June 11, 2015, in Franklin, Tennessee, was an American country singer. He rose to fame in the 1950s as a member of the trio The Browns, with his two sisters. Following a solo career between 1965 and 1974, he was a regular guest on Nashville's Country Music Greats Radio Show.
