Glorious

Glorious is a French Catholic Christian music group, originally from Valence, and established in Lyon, Rhône-Alpes. It was formed in 2002, following the World Youth Day, by three brothers from Valence. Very quickly, it achieved success among young French Catholics and attracted media curiosity. However, in 2007, the group was forced to stop for financial reasons and returned a year and a half later with the Lyon Centre project, hosting a weekly praise evening while continuing to perform concerts throughout France.

Since 2000, Glorious has released fourteen studio albums with Rejoyce Musique. They also have three live albums, recorded at the Frat gathering in 2011, 2013, and 2015, as well as a single, "Une vie pour une génération," a tribute song to Pope John Paul II. Their latest album, "Yeshua," is set to be released in September 2024. Between 2002 and 2018, they sold approximately 200,000 albums.

The musical style of Glorious is akin to Christian rock and electro-pop, in a style the group describes as "pop praise." More generally, Glorious is part of the contemporary Christian music movement.
