About — The artist
Kluster was a German experimental music group, a precursor to industrial music. It was founded by Hans-Joachim Roedelius, Dieter Moebius, and Conrad Schnitzler in 1969. After Schnitzler's departure in 1971, the group renamed itself Cluster.
Kluster is one of the founding groups of the "krautrock" movement, but its sales remained extremely niche (300 copies of the first two albums), until its members later became famous, which led to re-releases during the 1980s (albums) and 1990s (CDs).
