The Konzerthausorchester Berlin is a German orchestra founded in 1952 in East Berlin under the name Berliner Sinfonie-Orchester. The orchestra was renamed in August 2006 after its main residence, the Konzerthaus.
The Konzerthausorchester Berlin is one of Berlin's nine orchestras, and one of the most prominent alongside the Berliner Philharmoniker, the Staatskapelle Berlin, the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin, and the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin. The Konzerthausorchester has 13,000 subscribers and performs around a hundred concerts annually.
