About — The artist
La Ruda is a French alternative rock band, from Saumur (near Angers). Formed in 1993, disbanded in 2012, then reformed in 2019 and 2025 for further tours. It was originally called La Ruda Salska, a name inspired by the Polish town of Ruda Śląska, but also by their musical tastes (rock, ska, salsa), reflecting the music the band plays.
