About — The artist
La Ruda is a French alternative rock band, originally from Saumur (near Angers). Formed in 1993, dissolved in 2012, then reformed in 2019 and 2025 for new tours. It was initially called La Ruda Salska, a name inspired by a Polish city, Ruda Śląska, but also by their musical tastes (rock, ska, salsa), and thus the music offered by their band.
