About — The artist

Lapüta was a Japanese rock band from Nagoya's kei scene, active from 1993 to 2004. The band took its name from the flying island in Gulliver's Travels and, in its performances, sought to offer an equally unreal vision of the world.

Its album Emadara, released in 1997, was named in 2004, in an issue of the music magazine Band Yarouze, among the best albums of the 1989-1998 period.
