About — The artist
Liniker de Barros Ferreira Campos, known as Liniker, is a Brazilian singer-songwriter and the former leader of Liniker e os Caramelows, a Brazilian soul and black music group. Her voice has been described as "powerful and deep", with a character that is "slightly husky, like a soul singer", as well as "versatile", with a "recurring falsetto" and an "easily recognisable timbre", sometimes drawing comparisons to Tim Maia. An openly trans woman, Liniker's music influences young Brazilians facing gender discrimination, an audience that "is rarely represented in Brazilian music".
