Love

Love is an American rock band from Los Angeles, California. Mainly active from 1965 into the early 1970s, Love was initially led by Arthur Lee, a mixed-race singer, guitarist, pianist, harmonica player and songwriter, and by guitarist Bryan MacLean.

One of the main features that set Love's music apart from that of other American pop bands was its blend of varied musical influences, such as rock 'n' roll, garage rock, folk, pop, blues and psychedelic music. This blending of genres reached its peak on Forever Changes (1967), and from then on their music was described as baroque pop.

Throughout its career, the band received praise from music critics but their popular success always remained mixed, overshadowed by other groups of the era, such as the Doors. Love and their album Forever Changes, however, are considered cornerstones of psychedelic rock.
