About — The artist
Patrick Loiseau, born on 8 June 1949 in Limoges (Haute-Vienne), is a French singer-songwriter, painter and photographer. He is married to singer Dave, for whom he is the regular lyricist.
Patrick Loiseau met Dave in 1971. The first song he wrote for him was Un rocher sur ton île. But it was his adaptation of the Rubettes' Sugar Baby Love as Trop beau that made Patrick Dave's regular lyricist, writing almost all of his songs and designing many of his record sleeves.
In the 1980s he tried his hand as a singer before focusing on songwriting. He has notably written for Demis Roussos, Jeane Manson, Richard Anthony, Françoise Hardy, Sylvie Vartan, Hélène Ségara, Plastic Bertrand, Guy Bonnardot and Récréation.
