About — The artist

Patrick Wilson (or Pat Wilson) is a musician born on 1 February 1969 in Buffalo, New York, USA. He is one of the two original members of Weezer, for whom he has been the drummer since 1992.

He also played drums on Return of The Rentals, the debut album, released in 1995, by the band The Rentals, founded by his former Weezer colleague, Matt Sharp.

During Weezer's multi-year hiatus in the late 1990s, Wilson launched his own band, The Special Goodness. On this band's studio albums, he is the singer, keyboardist, percussionist, and guitarist.

In December 2006, Wilson made his film debut in Factory Girl, where he plays the role of John Cale from The Velvet Underground. His Weezer colleague, Brian Bell, also appears in the film, playing Lou Reed.
