About — The artist
Philippe Torreton is a French actor born on 13 October 1965 in Rouen.
A committed left-winger in public life and politics, he is also an activist and a former Paris city councillor, elected in the capital's 9th arrondissement.
He is also a writer. In his novel Mémé, published in 2014, he pays tribute to Denise Porte, his maternal grandmother. The book was a great success. Philippe Torreton's second novel, Un cœur outragé, evokes the world of French cinema.
